The Goals of the International Phalloplasty Institute are to provide:

• * Seminars to help surgeons to learn how to perform phalloplasty safely and correctly, using current surgical techniques and up-to-date medical/scientific information

• * Information that will help surgeons to develop their phalloplasty techniques and competencies

• * Tools that will help surgeons to develop their own phalloplasty practices

• * Recongnized and respected certification in phalloplasty

• * Eligibility for malpractice insurance for the practice of phalloplasty surgery

• * Eligibility for membership in the American Academy of Phalloplasty Surgeons

• * Eligibility for membership in the Medical Protective Shield

• * A forum and network for surgeons wishing to share and discuss their experiences and questions regarding phalloplasty
